About me & my approachDown to earth and approachable, my background is in communication and I worked for the Government in marketing, media relations and strategic roles for 13 years before deciding to train as a life and career coach in 2002. Although I liked my work I didn’t feel inspired by it but now I do. I get a fantastic buzz from seeing people move forward and live the life they want, rather than one that can all too often be driven by fears. My clients say that I’m intuitive and warm and I’m quick to use humour (when it’s appropriate!). When I first thought about being a coach I was worried about it being too “tree hugging” for me (I was brought up in Stoke and people don’t do tree hugging there…..) Then I realised when I was completing my coaching certification course that it’s possible to bring my own style to coaching, so that’s what I do. As well as running my own coaching practice I work for the Government as an internal communications adviser, so I still know what it's like to be in an organisation. And in my last role I was a professional development adviser to Government communicators. I’m an associate of the National School of Government and a member of coaching’s professional body – the International Coach Federation. I’m also a graduate and a qualified teacher and I live in West London. |
I’m a Certified Professional Co-active Coach. Co-active coaching is the brand of the Coaches Training Institute (CTI). The quality of CTI’s training is highly respected and its founders were among the first people to establish coaching as a profession.
